Get back control of your life

Welcome to Greenacre CBT working with clients from Biggleswade, Bedford and the Bedfordshire area. This is the first step to getting back control of your life. When you’re depressed or anxious or feel under threat for any reason, it’s hard to maintain your equilibrium.

CBT is the way forward to managing your mood, reducing your fears and anxieties, and getting back your zest for life.

Joy Scholes

Accredited CBT therapist Joy Scholes uses the treatment protocols of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help people overcome many mental health conditions including:

Mental health problems can be overwhelming and disabling. You might find you’re not going out with friends or family as much. Perhaps work that you enjoyed or at least coped with before has become stressful and difficult. Sometimes out of nowhere you feel unwell and embarrassed.

But with the correct help, it doesn't have to be that way. You can take back control, feel empowered, and push forwards with confidence.

Finding the right therapist is essential. Joy’s role as your CBT therapist is to reassure and guide you, helping you make the right decisions.

Joy provides in person support for people in Bedfordshire, North Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Buckingham. She also works throughout the UK and internationally using Zoom, Teams and Skype.

Most private medical insurance providers will permit CBT treatment with Joy Scholes, including BUPA, Cigna, Vitality, Aviva, Benenden Health, and Nuffield Health. Joy can use CBT to support people with long-term medical conditions like Parkinsons Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Type 1 and 2 Diabetes, and Fibromyalgia.
